Ground will be broken for a new grocery store on Sun Prairie's southwest side on Friday, July 15.

The ceremony will be held for the new Woodman's Sun Prairie location at 9 a.m. on the southern end of Suchomel Road.

The building will be more than 220,000 square feet when completed. There will also be a gas station with an oil change facility and a car wash on site. Construction is expected to take about 12 to 15 months.

Woodman's officials said that about 200 jobs will be created.

Mayor John Murray, Clint Woodman and members of the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce will be among those on hand for the event.
