Shuttle service to add morning commuter trip | Community Spirit
The Sun Prairie shuttle service will be adding a morning commuter trip to the current schedule, according to a release.
The trip will start running Jan. 2, and will pick up passengers at the southwest corner of the Copps East grocery store lot at 640 E. Main St., organizers said. The first pick-up is scheduled for 6:30 a.m.
From the Copps parking lot, the shuttle will continue to additional pick-up points at Dorn Hardware at 926 Windsor St. and Walmart at 1905 McCoy Road, according to the release. The shuttle will arrive in front of East Towne Mall around 7:10 a.m. for passengers to connect with Madison Metro routes serving the entire Madison area.
The one-way cost for the shuttle will continue to be $3.50 per person and children under six are free with an adult, officials said.
In addition to adding the morning trip, one of the pick-up/drop-off locations will be changed, according to the release. The new shuttle stop will be Copps East at 640 E. Main St., replacing the current stop at the vacant Sentry Store.
"The city is happy to offer these changes in service to reflect the on-going growth and dynamics of our community," Sun Prairie Transit Commission Chair and current City Council President Mary Polenske said.
